The same thing happened with my town Gjøvik by Lake Mjøsa, where they destroyed three important forests in just one year.
First they cut down Hovdetoppen Hill, a huge top in the middle of the town with intact nature, covered with forests, part of the original nature, a unique Shinrin Yoku, which should have been the towns symbolic Stetind Mountain, but suddenly they clear-cut it all, now to fill its sunny side with sterile apartment blocks, landing an enormous UFO-Hotel on its very top, like a copy of Apple's headquarter in California.
Next they cut down the old forests and pain trees of Øverbymarka and Folkestiene Paths, with a very nice track for old people and families, they just clear-cut it all and drove over the paths with heavy machinery, it's like walking in Hell there now, and I'll never take my family there again, as my kids learned how to walk there.
Last they cut down the old fruit gardens of Bondelia Housewife School, they teared down the old school building which was quite nice, to replace it all with a lot of sterile apartment blocks.
So I could not live there anymore and moved away from the town of Gjøvik with my family, and we'll never return. Unfortunately the rest of Norway is now being destroyed as well! - PermaLiv

| Her ser man rett ned til Koigen på Hamar, så ingen tvil om at dette må være stedet hvis man skal selge prints og muligens foto-bøker, hvor man bare finstiller fuglekikkerten på Holmstadengen, slik at hamarsingene kan få kjennskap til himmelengene, husmannstroen og kulturelva mi. Kanskje stopper selveste Knut Storberget, fylkesmannen for det nye innlandsfylket vårt, også på en dag? Ikke det at jeg kommer til å farte noe videre omkring på Hedmark etter ødeleggelsen av Finnskogens mystikk, med vindkraftverket på Kjølberget. Det skulle Hans Børli ha visst! |

Vindkraftverks-infernoet er en katastrofe, sender meldinger til slekt i USA om hva som foregår, kommer ikke til å reise mer omkring i dette landet, Nils Faarlund fikk reddet Totenåsen så holder meg her, tar kun bilen til Gardermoen når jeg må vekk fra dette møkkalandet. Kommer ikke til å ta med mine barn på reise omkring i Norge, de vil aldri få se de norske byer eller Sognefjorden, hvor deres oldemor kommer fra, og slektsgården Kvåle. - PermaLiv

Er man kvit, middelaldrende, mann, og i tillegg uten status og posisjon i samfunnet, da er man utsatt for en voldsom rasisme i dag, særlig fra politisk korrekte kjerringer. Hvis man i tillegg forsvarer bedehuslandet, som liksom skal være en arv fra kolonitiden og det patriarkalske samfunn, da er man reaksjonær, trangsynt, hatist, fredløs og fritt vilt. Med andre ord en skamming!

Så må vi huske på at vi ikke er det spor bedre her i grenda til Totenåsens apostel, enn vindkraftverks-vandalene på Vardafjell, da vi har utslettet våre forfedres sætersti til Hongsætrene, til fordel for ny skitrasemotorveg. Nei, vi farer ikke lett over jorden, det var det våre forfedre som gjorde, hvilke vi har forkastet til fordel for den liberale orden og de liberale friheter, som til slutt viste seg å være et reinspikket tyranni.

Liberalism—the outlook on public life now dominant in the West—is much more sober. It appeals to utility rather than charisma, and prefers the rationality of a system to the excitement of battle. For the liberal, getting rid of transcendent standards means deciding questions based on this-worldly practicalities, and rejecting the idea of a natural moral order means affirming our ability to define for ourselves what things are and what they mean to us. Such views are thought to provide a safe, tolerant, and commonsensical solution to the dangers posed by modern skepticism: not the fascist Triumph of the Will, but the liberal Triumph of Choice.
The devil, though, is in the details. Choices conflict, so the Triumph of Choice means nothing unless we know which choices triumph. Liberalism tries to be principled, and its moral skepticism means it can’t give the nod to the choices that are simply better. It wants a neutral solution, so it ends up appealing to technical effectiveness and the “do your own thing” attitude implicit in the triumph of individual choice over collective will.
What it tries to do, then, is set up a system in which individuals get as much as possible of whatever they want within the limits imposed by the coherence and effective functioning of the system itself. The nature and needs of the system then provide a standard for deciding conflicts.
Those needs put a premium on goals, like a career, that support the functioning of the system; on pursuits, like consumption choices and private indulgences, that are easily managed because they don’t much affect other people; and on acceptance of the choices of others. So when there are conflicts, it’s the self-regarding, efficiency-promoting, and tolerant goals that get the nod.
In a complex and dynamic society, goals constantly conflict with each other in all sorts of ways, and liberalism provides a clear principle for resolving the conflicts. In addition, it’s progressive, which means that as time goes by it perfects its system. So as liberalism develops, it subordinates disfavored to favored goals ever more comprehensively. - James Kalb
The Obama administration’s actions are, of course, outrageous. The reason, though, is not that officials are unprincipled but that their principles are narrow and lead to inhuman results. In the end, their system has room only for goals that are strictly private, goals people don’t much care about, and goals like career and political correctness that support the system itself. When understood that way, freedom becomes something no sensible and thoughtful person would want. But how do we Catholics turn the situation around, when the whole trend of public discussion seems against us? For starters, I think, we should argue for our positions based on substantive reasons for holding them. If the main argument we present is the American tradition of ever-greater freedom and equality, we’re going to lose, because the other side can argue that too, and their argument (not to mention their institutional and material resources) will be stronger. Tenk det, den liberale frihet er den eneste frihet husmannstroens barn ønsker i dag. Skal man ta Kalb på ordet, ser det ut til at undertegnede er den siste fornuftige og reflekterte person tilbake av alle herr Fossemøllens ætlinger, av alle husmannstroens barn, ja kanskje i hele Mjøslandet? For denne formen for frihet, den har jeg aldri ønsket!

Ja, ja, hasta la vista alle sammen, for på liberalismens fundament finnes intet grunnlag for å treffes igjen, eller å samtale sammen, da alle goder og guder som engang bandt oss sammen, har forduftet, i frihetens navn, sammen med den vestlige sivilisasjon.

Da vandrer vi videre, denne gangen i erkjennelsen av at den vestlige sivilisasjon har falt, i et post-vestlig landskap. Forunderlig at den vestlige sivilisasjons fall skulle sammenfalle med 100-års jubileet for husmannstroens katedral.
